Actor Nicky Katt_ Nicky Katt, who starred in ’90s indie films including Dazed and Confused, has died at the age of 54, according to multiple reports. John Sloss, founder and partner of Sloss Law, which represented Katt, confirmed Katt’s death to Deadline and The Wrap. The cause of his death is not yet known. People reached out to Sloss on Saturday, April 12, for comment and more information. Born on May 11, 1970, in South Dakota, Katt was a prolific character actor who frequently appeared in Richard Linklater’s films, including his most famous role in 1993’s Dazed and Confused.
He has also appeared in several Steven Soderbergh films, including the 2002 comedy Full Frontal (co-starring Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt) and the 2013 biopic Behind the Candelabra, directed by Liberace.
In Dazed and Confused, Kate plays high school bully and wannabe bully Clint Bruno, who gets into an argument with Adam Goldberg’s Mike Newhouse.
Carter has portrayed many other memorable roles over the years. He appeared in 1999’s The Limey and Christopher Nolan’s 2002 remake of Insomnia. He also played a villain in A Time to Kill, opposite Samuel L. Jackson and Matthew McConaughey.
On the small screen, the actor starred in the first three seasons of the Fox series Boston Public. He played Harry Sennett, a geology teacher who eventually won the hearts of his difficult students.
