ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — An Albuquerque man has been charged with federal crimes in connection with two separate arson attacks at a Tesla dealership and the New Mexico Republican Party headquarters. Federal court documents show Jamison Wagner is charged with setting fire to a building or vehicle.
The Tesla Albuquerque showroom was vandalized in early February, while the Republican Party headquarters was vandalized in late March.
Wagner’s Albuquerque residence was searched on Saturday, April 12. Investigators found evidence related to the suspected arson: White cardboard boxes containing eight suspected assembled incendiary devices Blue foam egg cartons containing polystyrene material found in homemade napalm, the same substance used in the Tesla fire Materials used to make other incendiary devices and flammable liquids, including gasoline A can with a green lid, similar to those found at the Royal Naval Museum fire scene Black and red spray paint, matching graffiti at both crime scenes A stencil with phrases consistent with those found at the Royal Naval Museum fire scene.
Investigators found two Tesla Model Y vehicles damaged in the fire in the parking lot outside the showroom. Graffiti was also spray-painted on the building’s exterior. The RPNM office was damaged, with the fire starting at the front door of the suite.
