Mass shooting at Virginia townhouse leaves 3 dead, 3 injured

Three people were killed and three others were injured in a shooting in northeast Virginia on Tuesday evening, according to law enforcement. At about 5:30 p.m., law enforcement received a 911 call reporting a shooting at a townhouse in Spotsylvania County, about 65 miles southwest of Washington, D.C., said Maj.

Elizabeth Scott, a spokeswoman for the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office. She said they urged the public to stay away from the area while officials investigate the shooting. No arrests have been made.

“Dozens of officers are actively searching for the suspect and maintaining the crime scene,” Scott said. The injured in the mass shooting in the Old Greenwich Roundabout area have been taken to the hospital. The condition of the injured is unknown. No further information about the victims is available at this time.
